iMessage runs through BlueBubbles, an open-source server you install on a Mac that stays signed in to your Apple account. DM Champ talks to that bridge, so your blue-bubble threads land in the same unified inbox as every other channel: voice notes transcribed, photos understood, calendar booking inside the thread, multi-day follow-ups. The Mac is the only extra piece you need, and it is why the channel is still labelled beta.
